Bev asks: What inspired you to write Divine Intervention?

After writing my emotional novel Whale Song, I wanted to write a novel that was 'fun' yet dealt with crime. I have always been fascinated by the concept of psychic investigators and had been playing with idea for a number of years. In some countries psychics have been used in police investigation. I wondered what would happen if their abilities were highly 'developed' and if a government kept a team of psychics hidden from public knowledge.

The characters of Jasi, Ben and Natassia came to me so quickly, and each arrived with a specific and individual gift that sets them apart from each other. I was also haunted by Jasi's tragic past, a plot line that has been hinted at and will develop with each book. I knew from the start that this would be a series. How long it will be, who knows?

Doesn't it make you curious about what life would be like if you had visions coming from a murderer's eyes just from smelling smoke in an arson fire? And what if you could touch objects and get flashes of visions connected with the owner of that object? And what if you could read a corpse and found yourself in the victim's mind?

Divine Intervention is a paranormal suspense "that will leave you smoldering for more".
